Vision Statement
As a City Council Member, my vision is to cultivate a thriving, equitable, and united community where every resident of the 5th Ward feels empowered, valued, and secure.
Through anti-displacement initiatives, I will prioritize community ownership, celebrate art and culture, and ensure housing stability by championing renters’ and small business protections and expanding financial assistance programs. Together, we will build a future where no one is left behind.
In addressing community development and disparities, I am committed to bridging health gaps, creating robust youth programming and engagement, and introducing tailored pathway programs and application processes for Northside residents. By enhancing public realms and amenities, we will foster spaces that uplift and unite us all.
To drive economic growth, I will attract manufacturing companies and support cannabis operations with opportunities for production and education. I aim to close skills and talent gaps, strengthen financial literacy education, and ensure accessible resources for workforce development.
I envision robust transit infrastructure projects that connect our communities and expand opportunities, including the Blue Line Extension, revitalizing 6th Ave, and improving key corridors like 394/I-94 and 252/I-94 to meet the needs of our growing ward.
Through restorative practices, I will foster strong relationships with residents, actively listen to community voices, and ensure accountability. By offering trainings, stipends, and restorative justice programming, we will build a safer, more harmonious 5th Ward rooted in mutual respect and care.
Together, we will create a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable future where we all can thrive.
